Ever since I was into the DollfieDream hobby, one of the more important things I’ve learned is that nice unique outfits that fit well are very tough to get a hold of, and often very expensive. But besides paying a premium at auctions, there are a few vendors out there who will do irregular releases of their products on their online shops at a reasonable price. +ORIONE+ by Kurai-san has been one of which does a regular release of outfit sets at the HKDP each summer. Online Pre-Orders of limited quantities will also be available at their online shop, and Kurai-san is kind enough to accept oversea orders as well… otherwise it would be very difficult to get a hold of these quality outfits.
Since my last visit to Toronto Canada, meeting up with all the Doll owners around the area, I knew I had to come back and visit again. Specially after seeing pictures of their summer doll picnics…. So today we went to one of the three parts of Toronto Island, Ward’s Island. Hope you will enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed this picnic
So yes, I bit the bullet and got another custom head.. just like Kobato, it was an instant saw and bought…. =_= I do not currently have a name for 03-chan just yet, but since I sold Idolm@ster Haruka’s head recently, I have a one-piece torso DDS body for her ready to go ^^. It seemed like a very nice day out this past weekend, so I took 03-chan out for some photos so I can introduce her here for everyone. Hope you can all enjoy my pictures.
Saber Alter was a Dollife Dream that I have always wanted, fortunately I was able to acquire her at retail price when VOLKS released her Version 2 for TypeMoon’s 10th Anniversary. But since then, I have only put up a couple of short posts of her. So today, mainly to test out the new compact I got, the SONY DSC-RX100… I’ve got some new pictures with new wig and new outfit of Saber Alter.
魔法の天使クリィミーマミ Mahō no Tenshi Kurīmī Mami, no doubt is one of which started the long hype of magical girls lasting till now. To celebrate her 30th anniversary, VOLKS has released SuperDollfie versions of Creamy Mami and 森沢優 Morisawa Yū. Al thou I wasn’t a big fan of the show back then, it sure does bring back memories. SuperDollfie on the other hand isn’t my cup of tea neither, so I only obtained the outfit and wig. The model to cosplay Creamy Mami for us this time is Dollfie Dream Rin Tohsaka.
It has been a few months now since I’ve posted my own DD post….. actually it has been a few months since I last changed clothes for the girls, so I guess I would try to change them all today. So today, we’ll look at Rina (Face up by Juu-Yuki) with some new outfit (Thanks to Archangeli for the links).
As many owners of a DDS or DDIII body already know, the internal frame DDS-BF-01 has a major flaw. The shoulder rings will crack due to the material being too bristle. There are many ideas all over the internet of owners trying some DIY fixes, but I came across a very interesting one that Smithy came up with, I think this would actually be a fix for good. Please visit Smithy’s Blue Blue Wave for the full write up.
While you are there, Smithy also has lots of beautiful pictures of Dollfie and some great anime reviews.
